Martha Karua has announced that the People’s Liberation Party (PLP) will be officially launched in February, outlining its core mission of restoring good governance. She strongly criticized the current administration, citing over-taxation and the worsening economic conditions affecting Kenyans.
The announcement comes amid significant political realignments, as key opposition figures position themselves ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Karua has called on like-minded leaders to join PLP’s cause, revealing that her party is already engaged in discussions with other political players. Among them is former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, who is currently working on establishing his own political movement.
We have rebranded, and we will be launching our People’s Liberation Party (PLP) in February.”
