A New Era in Kenya’s Political Landscape
The political landscape in Kenya is set for a major shift as the People’s Liberation Party (PLP) is officially unveiled on February 27, 2025. The party, formerly known as NARC Kenya, is undergoing a transformation to reflect its renewed commitment to democratic governance, social justice, and the empowerment and liberation of all Kenyans. Under the leadership of Martha Wangari Karua, a steadfast advocate for democracy and good governance, the People’s Liberation Party seeks to champion a progressive, people-centered agenda that prioritizes unity, transparency and accountability, and inclusivity in national development. Speaking ahead of the brand reveal event, Hon. Martha Karua emphasized the significance of this transition:
"The People’s Liberation Party is a movement for all Kenyans who believe in justice, equality, and true democratic governance. Our rebrand is not just about a new name but about revitalizing the struggle for a better Kenya—one that upholds the rule of law, respects the rights of all citizens, and delivers real change, because change cannot wait."
The launch event, which will take place in Nairobi, will mark the official unveiling of the party’s new identity, vision, and policy priorities. The occasion will bring together party members, Kenyan progressives, political allies, civil society representatives, and members of the public who are eager to witness the birth of a re-energized political force. The People’s Liberation Party aims to provide a strong alternative for Kenyans who are disillusioned with the status quo and are looking for a party that truly represents their aspirations. As the country inches closer to the next electoral cycle, PLP is determined to mobilize grassroots support and engage citizens in shaping a government that serves the people.
